Bouncing off the Walls

So, only 4 more days and they're free. Why do we even have school on the last week. The poor teachers are dying with our sweet little rambunctious children. If there was a way to say that they were getting out one day and then surprise them a week early the poor teachers could maybe survive the last week, especially with a day like today. It was so nice that we had to show our pasty white bodies,Olivia and Nat in swimsuits and mine from the knee down. Trust me that's even too much. So what do you do in the summertime? I want to know. Sleeping in is the top of my list.
Our first campfire in the back yard. We are so ready.

Ohhh, we are so jealous!!! We don't get out of school until June 19th...one month from tomorrow. So, we're not quite to the crazy, have to get out of school feelings yet. (Though, I wish we were!)

My favorite things about summer:
1. My schedule, not the school's
2. Not getting dark until late
3. Sleeping in
4. S'mores in the backyard by the firepit
5. BBQ's
6. This list could get really long, so I'll stop!

I love summer!

I usually have a schedule made of what our summer days will be like, but this year I told Dave that it is going to be one lazy summer.

I hope not, though...I hope I can get with it soon...very soon!

We just had to BBQ yesterday too! Nothing like hamburgers and hotdogs cooked outside on a hot day! Bring on Summer!

Well, for sure we always go to Park Day because it is one of kids favorite things. I enjoy going and visiting too. And there is always a couple of sessions of swimming lessons. Not much else planned this year because we aren't in any summer sports. It will be a nice break. We go to Rexburg to hang out with cousins 2 or 3 times a month, which is also a favorite for them and me cause they love to play and I love to visit.

I am really looking forward to no alarm clock everyday! I would love to say sleeping in, but I know it won't happen. I am hoping for a relaxed summer!

We don't get out until June 19th (Tommy's birthday). And we're actually leaving a day early to go to California. Travis' family is having a family reunion. We're looking forward to that. We use to be campers. I gave that up when we tried to take Susie camping when she was one and a half. Then I tried again last year (Ward campout), and it was so hard with Ivy, that I left in the middle of the night. Maybe we'll try again this summer........

I HEAR YOU!!! We have been dying for almost a month already! If we had even one more day - I don't know if we would make it! Summer, Summer come to me!!!

What do we do? A WHOLE LOT of WHATEVER WE WANT! I love the memories I have of wandering along the river or watching clouds or making "houses" out of grass clippings - riding bikes - eating peaches and ice cubes - listening to water splashing and smelling the dry soil when the sprinkler hits it - HOORAY FOR SUMMER!

Well, well, well. Look who's blog I just happened on! Haha. This is Christina Hudman (Ashlee's sister) from volleyball. I was on Amberly Christensen's blog & just clicked on your link for some reason. I was scrolling through & saw your picture! I was like WHAT?! Is this really Mary's blog? Sure enough. Then I saw Abby Poulson too. What a small world. Anyway, do you care if I stop in every now & again? What a fun surprise right before bed:)
