Easter Egg Hunt in Ucon

Kyle's Knee Surgery, Our one Ski Trip, and Anna takes the Spoils

Poor Kyle had to have knee surgery.  He was in 8th grade and it was a football injury.  Kyle was on a football team with Scott Smith as the coach.  He was a really hard hitter and was defensive end.  In Kyle's words,"I went to break through the line and felt something hit my knee. I felt my knee pop out of place and then back in.  Then I got up and immediately fell down again.  Then my team dudes, Tyler and Austin carried me off the field.  I took a team picture in pain and then we went to the ER. Well the Dr. said that he he kind of ripped some bone and cartilage as he his knee went out and in.  He had another surgery that December, because as the doctor put it, it was flaking.  

Then one year later to the day he dislocated his other knee.  So he had another surgery around September only 2012.  Here he is at the Back to school dinner and end of the summer pictures.  

In February 2013, about 6 months after Kyle's surgery we got an opportunity to go skiing .  It was a really fun day.  Kyle had grown and was a big boy.   I think the skiing might have been too much for his knee.  He also loves the heat, so the snow may not have been his favorite.  He was a trooper, but the best part for him was probably the hot chocolate and fries.  

Annalisa discovered Cross Country her Sophomore year and found that she was very talented. She really moved up quickly and had a great season.  this was in Sept/Oct 2011
