Happy Birthday Natalie!

Happy 9th Birthday Natalie! We started the day with some breakfast in bed.  Cousin birthday parties are the best.  First game up was Here Comes the Jolly Butcher Boy.  Next up was the Paper Bag Game.  Here's how you play.

To start, you divide teams evenly and they both line up facing each other in the yard as far apart as possible, on each ends of the lawn.
Team 1:" Here comes the jolly butcher boy, seeking for his trade." Team 1 chants this while walking toward the other team.  They can hold hands as they walk if they are younger.
Team 2:  "What is your trade?"
Team 1:  "Ice Cream and lemonade."
Team 2:  "Work away if you're not afraid."
Team 1:  By this time, Team 1 should be in front of Team 2 about 10 feet apart. Team 1 acts out something that was pre-decided before they started ie. popcorn, sharks, a lantern, etc.
Team 2:  Guesses and keeps guessing.
Team 1: Runs when Team 2 guesses right.
Team 2:  Chases, and whoever they catch is on their team.
Then you start over only Team 2 starts.

Paper Bag Game
1.  Each person tries to grab the bag with their mouth without bending their knees or falling over.
2.  Once you have the bag, you tear the piece that you bit off.
3.  as the bag gets shorter and shorter because of the tearing off, it gets harder to grab/bite. 4. The winner is the last one to be able to pick the bag up with their mouth.
