Graduation for Annalisa

We started off with some pictures in her graduation dress.

Then off to Hillcrest to sit in the gym ready to watch Annalisa get her diploma.

At Hillcrest the kids usually decorate the top of their cap, which is the only thing they keep.  She did keep her honor cords.  She and Erin are right by each other, two Joneses.

Senior Project

So for Anna's Senior project she made a cookbook to use in College.  This may not seem like a big deal, but it took a lot of research and work to accomplish it. This cookbook would really serve her.
To start out with, she poured through cookbooks, her own, mine and found some recipes online.
She tried some recipes.

She typed recipes, printed them on card stock, put the recipes in plastic covers and slipped them into a binder.

I got to be her assistant during her presentation.  She did great!

Getting Ready For Trek

Getting ready for the trek took many visits and and practice hikes up at the Camp Cumorah area.  It was so fun to imagine what we would do as a ward and practice hiking with our friends the Hermansens.  They had little kids and we needed to see how they would do.  The Hermansens were also the trek specialists.

We had to figure out the river crossings.

We got to move branches and trees so our handcarts could make it through.

We decided where we would hike and how far.

We wandered around to make sure that we had the right path and crossed at the right place.
The old Bishopric got one last hurrah!
Cory Brower, Jeff Jones, and Jeff Sondrup.

We got to see how deep one of our river crossings would be
Tim McDowell helped everyone out.

It was so fun to get ready for this.  Jeff was like a kid in a candy shop.  He kept finding excuses to go up and get things ready or check out the site.  The youth spent a few days removing cow pies from our camp site .  It was a real sacrifice.
